A woman who offered and gave dental services without a valid licence had apparently caused her own downfall, a new report in The Star reveals.
The activities of Nur Farahanis Ezatty Adli, 20, reportedly came to light after she lodged a police report claiming that two of her customers did not pay her for dental services provided.
According to The Star, the police report drew the suspicion of the state Health Department.
Authorities later raided the homestay from which she was offering dental services, but Nur Farahanis is said to have continued with the business even after that.
The Star’s report also alleges that the bogus dentist met patients at a restaurant in Jalan Hang Tuah.
The owner of the restaurant was quoted by The Star as saying that Nur Farahanis “earned RM6,000 in a day by offering packages of RM650 for full braces and RM350 for a partial fitting”.
