Sean Hannity said Wednesday night that Donald Trump’s fiery immigration speech represented a “pivotal moment” in the campaign.
“It seems that this probably turned out for Donald Trump to be a pivotal moment and I would argue probably the best day of his campaign,” Hannity said.
Trump delivered a primetime speech outlining his immigration policies and doubled down on some of his hardline rhetoric. The speech came hours after he flew to Mexico to meet the country’s president and discuss how the two could work together to tackle immigration.
“He looked presidential in Mexico,” Hannity said. “He gave a powerful speech. He laid out a very powerful case.”
The Fox News host added: “Very powerful day for him.”
Hannity, who has informally advised Trump, is one of his fiercest backers on cable news. The host said earlier this week he would be doing everything in his power to elect Trump as president.
