AirAsia’s CEO Tony Fernandes tried to keep his wedding under the radar as he wed his Korean girlfriend in Cote d’Azur, France, on Saturday.
And much like the ‘hush hush’ wedding, not much is known about the newly-minted Mrs Fernandes – except that her first name is Chloe, reported the New Straits Times.
Even her last name is only known to family and friends.
But the couple’s efforts to keep their wedding under wraps – and their constant reminders to their guests to respect their wishes to keep the event private – might have been in vain.
According to the Star, the social media savvy businessman woke up the following day to find that pictures from his wedding had gone viral, even though he had not updated his social media account.
Their wedding and dinner were graced by close friends, family members and AirAsia’s top officials, with CIMB Group chairman Datuk Seri Nazir Razak as the best man.
The couple kept their guests entertained with performances by violinist Caroline Campbell and singers Philip Bailey and Stephen Bishop.
