Trump threw paper towels into a crowd while visiting hurricane victims at a church in Puerto Rico

President Donald Trump on Tuesday threw paper towels into an audience filled with reporters and people affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.

Shortly after telling the crowd to “have a good time,” the president visited a chapel and picked up solar lights, examined canned food, and tossed some supplies into the audience.

“There’s a lot of love in this room,” Trump said. “Great crowd.”

Trump’s actions lit up social media.

The president’s actions during his visit to the island have raised eyebrows.

In a meeting with officials, Trump said the number of people who died as a result of the hurricane was far lower than in a “real catastrophe” like Hurricane Katrina. He also mentioned Puerto Rico’s budget shortfall.

“I hate to tell you, Puerto Rico, but you’ve thrown our budget a little out of whack, because we’ve spent a lot of money on Puerto Rico,” Trump said.
