Less than a week after apologising for the slowed iPhones saga, Malaysian retailers Machines and Switch are now offering battery replacement services for iPhones at a discounted rate.
Both retailers will now replace batteries for iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and newer models at RM129, instead of the original RM399 at Machines and RM350 to RM450 at Switch. The new price is inclusive of tax and labour charges.
Last week, Apple Inc posted a statement on their website to apologise for the debacle, and said it was reducing the cost of battery replacements by RM240 from the original RM369 for anyone with an iPhone 6 or newer models.
It also said it would release an iOS software update that will give users “more visibility into the health of their iPhone’s battery”.
