Johor’s Sultan Ibrahim increases his stake in 7-Eleven Malaysia to 15.52%

Johor’s Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has raised his shareholding in 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd to 15.52% or 172.37 million shares.

According to The Star, the ruler upped his stake by purchasing 63.08 million shares in an off-market deal for a total of RM91.46 million.

7-Eleven Malaysia’s share price closed up one sen to RM1.56.

Berjaya Group founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan remains the largest shareholder with a 41.73% stake.

Sultan Ibrahim is the second largest individual shareholder.
