Three-time Olympic silver medallist Lee Chong Wei did not play in this year’s Asian Games and World Championships due to early stage nose cancer.
The Badminton Association of Malaysia recently confirmed the illness, after a post claiming Lee had nose cancer went viral on social media. However, the post mistakenly identifies Lee’s cancer as third stage cancer.
