Gaming hardware maker Razer will soon launch its Razer Phone 2 at an estimated price of US$799.
The new phone is an updated version of the brand’s flagship Razer Phone, which was launched last year.
In a press release on Oct 11, the company said the new flagship phone will come with a slew of new features including wireless charging, IP67 water resistance, a 50 per cent brighter screen, 30 per cent faster performance and support for LTE Gigabit networks.
The new phone will also continue to have industry-leading features such as its 120hz display. It is also the only phone certified by Netflix for for HDR video content and Dolby Surround 5.1 audio content.
According to Razer, the Razer Phone 2 is powered by Razer Chroma, a RGB lighting system for gamers. The rear of the phone features the Razer triple-headed snake logo that glows in 16.8 million colours to provide app notifications.
The new phone will be made available “soon” in select Asia-Pacific markets including Singapore, Razer said.
Preorders start on Oct 11 (Oct 10, 3:01pm Singapore time) on Razer.com.
The company also announced on Thursday that it would be launching a new entry-level model of the Razer Blade gaming laptop, the Raiju Mobile game controller, and Hammerhead USB-C active noise cancelling accessories for the Razer Phone 2.
